Miller encouraged potential buyers not to miss out on this unique opportunity by stating, “Don’t go home landless.” However, despite the chance to secure the entire site at an increased price of 1% over the combined individual bids totaling $3.3 million, no bidders emerged to take on this challenge. If someone had made an offer for the entire property, each previous individual bidder would have had an opportunity to raise their offers, with the ultimate buyer needing to surpass them.

A Regional Gem with a Rich History

Established along William Penn Avenue NE in 1968, the Seven Hills Country Club had been under the ownership of the Gran family for the majority of the past 50 years. Renowned for its meticulously maintained course, the club was widely regarded as one of the top public golf destinations in the Stark County region.

In 2020, the Grans sold the Seven Hills Country Club and two accompanying houses for a total of $2.7 million to a limited liability corporation. The purchasing group, led by James Gesiotto, a resident of Jackson Township and a Mount Eaton dentist, partnered with Kaufman Realty & Auctions to oversee the auctioning process.

Although the golf course operated throughout most of 2022, it remained closed during the past season. Subsequently, an additional auction was scheduled for the following day to sell the equipment utilized for course maintenance and restaurant operations.
