Experience Unmatched Forgiveness and Distance with the TaylorMade Qi10 Drivers

TaylorMade Qi10, Qi10 Max, and Qi10 LS drivers are the latest additions to the TaylorMade driver family that offer golfers more forgiveness, distance, and accuracy. These high-quality drivers are designed to deliver exceptional performance on the golf course. In this article, we will dive deep into the features and technologies incorporated into these drivers, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of what makes them stand out.

Gear and Price

The TaylorMade Qi10 and Qi10 Max drivers are priced at $599 each, while the Qi10 LS driver is priced at $629. Each driver comes with different shaft options, including the Fujikura Speeder NX TCS shaft, Fujikura Ventus Blue TR shaft, or Mitsubishi Tensei AV Limited Blue shaft, along with the Golf Pride Z-Grip grip.

Specs and Availability

The Qi10 drivers feature a 60-layer carbon fiber face, a carbon fiber crown, and a carbon fiber sole with a Speed Pocket slot. They also have an adjustable hosel and a moveable weight (available in the Qi10 LS driver). These drivers will be available for purchase on February 2, with pre-sale options available now.

Who They’re For

The TaylorMade Qi10 and Qi10 Max drivers are ideal for golfers who want to maximize forgiveness without sacrificing distance. On the other hand, the Qi10 LS driver is designed for players who require a low-spin driver that also provides shot-shaping and adjustability.

The Skinny: Boosting Forgiveness and Ball Speed

When designing the Qi10 drivers, TaylorMade took a unique approach to maximize forgiveness and ball speed through the use of lightweight materials and strategic weight distribution. The carbon fiber crown of the Qi10 Max driver covers up to 97 percent of the top, resulting in a larger crown and a significant reduction in weight. This lighter crown is complemented by a carbon composite ring in the back of the head, a carbon fiber sole plate, and a titanium front piece. These changes allow for the redistribution of weight to optimal positions, enhancing stability and increasing the driver’s moment of inertia.

The Quest for Inertia 10,000

The Qi10 drivers are named after their quest for a moment of inertia of 10,000 g-cm2. This extraordinary level of forgiveness is achieved through the use of lightweight materials and strategic weight placement. The Qi10 Max driver, in particular, features a larger size from front to back, giving it a greater moment of inertia and providing exceptional stability during the swing.

Cutting-Edge Technologies

All three Qi10 drivers share several cutting-edge technologies. The face of these drivers is composed of 60 layers of carbon fiber, covered by polyurethane, and incorporates Twist Face technology to optimize performance on off-center shots. The high-toe and low-heel areas of the face peel back more, allowing for straighter shots. Furthermore, the faces feature an off-center Inverted Cone design, which maximizes speed by varying their thickness around the hitting area.

Additionally, the Qi10 drivers are equipped with a Speed Pocket designed into the sole to enhance flexibility and stability. This technology promotes greater ball speed and protects against performance loss on mis-hits.

The Choice Is Yours: Qi10, Qi10 Max, or Qi10 LS

The Qi10 Max driver is the most stable and easiest to square up on the downswing, making it an excellent choice for players seeking forgiveness and consistency. The standard Qi10 driver produces less spin and a lower ball flight than the Qi10 Max but offers a higher moment of inertia and improved forgiveness compared to its predecessor, the Stealth 2 driver. Lastly, the Qi10 LS driver is specially designed for low-spin performance and provides the added benefit of adjustability with its sliding weight track.
