During the testing, all 7-irons were analyzed on the swing robot at a speed of 80 mph, using the same attack angle. We examined three points on the clubface – center, toe, and heel – to assess the impact on distance, launch, and spin when the ball was struck off-center.

While this might be shorter than the longest iron we tested, it’s important to note that the irons ranking below the Kirkland model on the carry distance chart are typically better-player cavity-back models and blades with weaker lofts. Therefore, it’s fair to say that the Kirkland irons are among the shortest players-distance/game-improvement models we tested.
