We are excited to introduce GOLF Magazine’s Teachers to Watch for 2024 and 2025. This prestigious designation recognizes the rising stars in coaching from around the United States. These innovative teachers of tomorrow are shaping the way we all learn, think, and play the game of golf.
The Selection Process
Every two years, GOLF Magazine assembles an independent committee of instructors to evaluate teachers’ bodies of work and determine their eligibility for inclusion on the coveted GOLF Top 100 Teachers list. It is a highly competitive process that involves months of rigorous evaluation by our selection committee.
The selection process is powered by the Top 100 Teachers Credentials Committee and is the only national golf instructor search that combines outside academic and PGA peer review. This comprehensive approach ensures that only the most deserving candidates are recognized for their exceptional coaching abilities.
Evaluating Criteria
During the evaluation process, candidates are meticulously screened against a set of criteria that evaluates various aspects of their teaching careers. The criteria include:
- Teaching experience and accomplishments
- Student portfolio and peer ratings
- Commitment to the growth of the game through volunteerism
- Utilization of digital platforms for instruction
Candidates can be nominated by reputable organizations such as the PGA, LPGA, and United States Golf Teachers Federation, among others. The selection committee reviews an average of 250 applications before choosing the new members of the prestigious Top 100 Teachers list.
